Elsie Ann Geralsky 91, formerly of Masury, passed away at 11:09AM Wednesday morning April 23, 2014 at John the XXIII Home in Hermitage, PA. She was born in Sharon, PA on June 17, 1922 one of three daughters of the late John and Anna (Kochera) Sholtis. Elsie was a 1939 graduate of Sharon High School and went on to marry her husband George Geralsky the following year. Elsie was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her family. She had also worked as a saleswoman for the former Kaufman's department store. Mrs. Geralsky was a longtime member of the former St. Bernadette's Catholic Church in Masury where she had been a member of the women's club. She was also a member of the Brookfield Township Fire Departments Ladies Auxiliary as well as several card clubs, and also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and working crossword puzzles. She leaves behind her children Daniel Geralsky and his wife Joan of Hubbard, Dianne Wiseman and her husband Ralph "Skip" of Cortland, Luette Monaco and her husband Ronald of Hermitage, and Georgine Morabito and her husband Enzo of West Chester, OH; two sisters Frances Wilds of Sharon, PA and Ailene Nye of Dauphin, PA; her sister in-law Marge Sholtis of California; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband George on August 25, 1974, her parents, her step-mother Helen Marenchin, her brothers Edward Sholtis and Robert Sholtis, and sister Alma Rhodes. A Celebration of a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday morning April 26, 2014 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (St. Bernadette) in Masury with the Very Rev. Frank Zanni V.F. as Pastor. Friends may call one hour prior to the start of the Mass at the church. Burial will take place next to her husband at the Brookfield Township Cemetery. Donations may be made to either the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or the Lupus Foundation.
