Austintown—Services will be at 9:30 AM Tuesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown for Elvira “Elva” Babyak, 90, of Austintown who passed away peacefully Saturday morning in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Elva was born June 25, 1916 in Campbell the daughter of Joseph and Maria (Marchianda) DiLisio and was a life long area resident. She worked as a clerk for McKelvey’s Department Store in Downtown Youngstown for 18 years, and was also a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Elva was a member of the Church, the Women’s Christian Association at the ITAM Past #3, and the Salvation Army Women’s Association. Her husband Michael S. Babyak, whom she married July 16, 1941, passed away August 27, 1971. Elva leaves two children; Douglas (Carole) Babyak of Howland and Alice(David) Durda of Austintown, one brother; Anthony DiLisio of Youngstown, five grandchildren; William (Jodi) Bucci of Columbiana, Holly (Kurt) Routenberg of Cleveland, David (Stacy) Durda of Canfield, Amy (Vince) Martinelli of Austintown, and Michael (Cati) Babyak of Arkansas, and nine great grandchildren; Tori, Taylor and William Bucci, Ethan and Lucy Routenberg, David and Chloe Durda, Arianna and Madison Martinelli. Besides her parents and husband, Elva is preceded in death by a daughter Sylvia Bucci, two brothers; Harry and Salvatore DiLisio, and three sisters; Rose Sanor, Albina Donnadio, and Susan Campbell. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Monday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
