Erma M. Baumstark, 85, died at 11 p.m. Thursday at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Baumstark was born April 20, 1932 in Youngstown, a daughter of Joseph and Margaret Phillips. A graduate of Wilson High School, Erma worked for 30 years in the payroll department at General Motors Lordstown. After retirement, she also worked for much of the past 16 years in the office for her daughter's company, Home Instead Senior Care, and loved all the girls in the office. Erma was a woman who dearly loved her family, her Home Instead family, and her card club "family". Erma loved traveling and a good casino game. Survivors include her son, Michael and his wife Patta McKee of Frisco, TX, her daughter Carol and her husband Stuart Hitchcock of North Jackson, her very special friend, Dottie Johntony and two sisters-in-law, Rosemarie Filips and Pat Scherer. Erma was very proud of her two grandchildren, Jason (Kristen) Haus, of Cincinnati and Alexandra McKee of Frisco, TX. Her three gr. grandsons, Will, Charlie, and Lucas Haus were the joy of her life. She leaves her two cats, Lulu and Kitty Cat and her grand dog, Natalie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael who passed July 31, 2007. Her Parents, in-laws Mr. and Mrs. Frank Baumstark. Her brothers, Joseph and Robert. At the request of the family there will be no calling hours. There will be a celebration of Erma's life next Saturday, July 8, 2017 for family and friends at her daughter's home in North Jackson.
