Esther "Toots" Amon

Fowler – Esther “Toots” Amon, 94, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, October 30, 2024 at her residence. 

Esther was born on August 8, 1930 in Sharpsville, PA a daughter of the late Dominick and Mary Bertolasio. 

She married Charles Amon and began their life together, raising five children. 

She loved going to flea markets to find antiques to add to her collection. She especially collected antique jewelry. She enjoyed decorating her home for the holidays and cooking great meals for her family to enjoy. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family. 

Esther will be deeply missed by her children, Christopher Amon, Ilona Booth, and Paula (Gary) Kirby; grandchildren, Stacy (Dave) Patterson and Aimee Kirby; great-grandchildren, Victoria and Travis Patterson; brothers, Frank and Dave (Lisa) Bertolasio; sisters, Ann Bonaquest, Patricia Danos, Christine George, and Marion Senkosky; and her yorkie Ella, that she deeply adored. 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Charles, who passed away on September 13, 1982; son Bruce Amon; daughter Claudia Amon; brothers, Dominick, Steve, and Robert Bertolasio. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Anne Stover and staff for taking such excellent care of her, and Buckeye Hospice for taking such compassionate care of her. A special thanks goes out to Brenda, Robert, Cara, Rosemary, Sharon, Mel, and Chad. 

Per Esther’s wishes there will be no calling hours or services. 

Burial will take place at Brookfield Township Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
