Eugene H. Statti

CANFIELD: Eugene H. "Gene" Statti, age 70, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Born January 12, 1943 in Ellwood City, Pa., he was the son of Eugene H. and Carmella (DeFonde) Statti, Sr. Gene graduated from Newton Falls High School in 1961 and served in the US Navy from 1961 until 1965. He worked at Rockwell Bumper Plant in Newton Falls for 13 years, as a supervisor at American Welding in Warren for 13 years, at Henn's Workshop from 1993 until 2006 where he was supervisor of the wood shop, and most recently at WCI/Severstal/BDM Warren Steel as a security guard. He enjoyed cars, car shows, and weight lifting; he was a boxer while in the Navy. Survivors include his wife Jayne L. (Weaver) Statti. His daughters: Gina Marie (Randy) Bever of Newton Falls, Stephanie A. (James) Brown of Austintown, Adriana L. (Scott) Statti-Rutledge of Champion and his first wife Marie Williams of Newton Falls; his son Brian (Elizabeth) Statti of Canfield and second wife Kathleen Statti of Canfield; eight grandchildren; step-children: Melissa Hubbs of Topeka, Ka., and Angela (Jasen) Bryan of Atwater; 3 step-grandchildren; brother Ronald (Carol) Statti of Chillhowie, Va. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel on Tuesday from 6-8PM.
