YOUNGSTOWN—Calling hours will be held from 6 to 7 PM Monday at the Lane Funeral, Austintown Chapel, for Mr. Eugene R. (Geno) DeGeorge of N. Wendover Cr., who passed away Saturday morning at his residence. Mr. DeGeorge was born Feb. 5, 1949 in Dennison, OH, the son of Tony D. and Catherine R. Spano DeGeorge and came to this area as a child. Geno had been employed as executive chef for the Tippecanoe Country Club 18 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and loved golfing, all types of racing, especially NASCAR. He also enjoyed his rides to Geneva on the Lake, Conneaut Lake and Lake Milton. Geno loved to play cards and looked forward to many family gatherings. He is survived by his father of Youngstown, his wife, the former Roberta A. Cora, whom he married May 1, 1971, two daughters, Danielle Marie and Gina Marie DeGeorge both of Boardman, three sisters, Rosemary Cargill of Liberty, Nancy DeGeorge of Youngstown, and Lydia DeGeorge Murray of Bay Village, two brothers, Anthony DeGeorge of North Lima and Louis DeGeorge of Tampa, FL. He also leaves a Godson, Joseph R. Cora Jr and God-daughter, Kelly Ann Balasko. Geno was preceded in death by his mother and sister, Josephine DeGeorge Snyder.
