Eva A. Acord, 90 There will be a graveside service at 1:00 PM Monday at Sunset Hills Burial Park, Canton for Eva A. Acord, 90 of Caprice Health Care Center, North Lima who died early Wednesday morning at Caprice. Eva was born March 18, 1928 in Byesville, Ohio, a daughter of the late James and Charlottie (Scott) Liggett and moved to this area in August 2013. Eva had worked security for the Meijers Department Store for 15 years, retiring in 2009. She was a member of Bridge of Hope Church and the American Trapshooting Association. She had won multiple trapshooting championships. Her husband, Ernest Acord whom she married in 1958, died January 7, 1987. She leaves two sons, Jeffrey (Dee) Acord of Boardman, Jerry Dawson of Missouri; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Dawson of Ashland; five grandchildren, Johnathan, Derrick, Jeremy, Alicia, Ashley and five great-grandchildren. Eva also leaves a brother, James (Helen) Liggett of South Carolina. Besides her parents and her husband, Eva was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Dawson; a sister, Betty Dawson; and two brothers, Robert Liggett and Glenn Liggett. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Anstrom Chapel, Boardman.
