Eva V. Keefner

Mrs. Eva V. Keefner, 83 of Warren died Wednesday afternoon, September 27, 2017 at St. Elizabeth's Belmont Avenue Medical Center. She was born January 29, 1934 in Niles the daughter of the late Aniello and Angeline Gargano Villecco. She had been a lifetime Trumbull county resident. Eva was a 1952 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. She worked for 35 years at GE Trumbull Lamp plant in Warren, retiring as a coil inspector. Eva was an avid movie buff and especially enjoyed older movies and was extremely knowledgeable of movie and movie star trivia. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, tennis, bowling, traveling, sewing and was an accomplished seamstress, an excellent cook and an avid baseball fan, especially of Scrappers baseball. Eva loved spending time with her friends and family, loved family get togethers and cooking her weekly Sunday spaghetti dinners. She was a generous and selfless person and took pleasure in lending a kind and helping hand to friends and family. She had a great sense of humor, loved her cats and was well versed and active on the computer. Eva was of the Catholic faith. She is survived by one daughter, JoAnn (John) Michelakis and one son, James E. Keefner both of Warren; six grandchildren, James R. and Kayla Keefner and John A., Joseph, Jeffrey and James V. Michelakis; one great grandson, Emmanuel Michelakis; one niece, Barbara Eschman and one nephew, John Villecco. Besides by her parents, Eva was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Anthony Villecco and one sister, Eda Petrosky. "Mom, you will be missed beyond measure and always, and will forever be in our hearts and minds. We are who we are because of you." Per Eva's wishes there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will be held. Arrangements were entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren.
