Evelyn Ortenzio, 81, of Canfield passed away early Tuesday morning at Hospice House. Evelyn was born June 17, 1937 in Youngstown, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Vrable Shirilla. She was a 1955 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and was a home-maker and bookkeeper. Evelyn was a member of St. Michael Church. She enjoyed cooking and shopping and especially being with her family. Evelyn is survived by her husband of 61 years, Anthony Ortenzio, whom she married May 4, 1957; her sons, Lance (Patricia) Ortenzio of Austintown, James Ortenzio of Canfield, and Jeffrey (Beth) Ortenzio of Austintown; her daughter, Karen (Mike) Byers of Northfield and her grandchildren, Christine (Brian) Haverkos, Becky, Vincent, Anthony and Sydney Ortenzio and Alex and Alicia Byers. Besides her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Shirilla. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Michael Church in Canfield on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 10 a.m. with prayers being said at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Friends may call at the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Austintown Chapel on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. and Monday from 9-9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Evelyn's name may be given to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Yo., OH 44512.
