NILES---Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday at Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel for Flora Elizabeth Britton, 89, formerly of Niles, who died Friday morning in Liberty Healthcare Center. Flora was born February 9, 1913 in Apollo, PA, the daughter of Cleason and Cora Belle Altman Hilty and was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Niles and the Women of the Moose and the Pocahontas in Niles. Her husband, Gordon Britton whom she married January 22, 1931 died March 14, 1989. She leaves a daughter, Trudy (Jim) Riddell of Vienna, three sons, William (Shirley) Britton of Liberty, Robert Britton of Niles and Gordon L. (Mary Jane) Britton Jr. of Liberty, two sisters, Mary Ferro and Cora Belle Samu, both of Niles, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Betty Jean, son, Kenneth Leroy, sister, Joy Pelton and brother Kenneth Hilty preceded her in death. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Sunday and one hour before services on Monday. The Women of the Moose will conduct prayer services 7:45 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home..
