Flora Rebecca Waites

Services will be 10 am Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Flora Rebecca Waites, 95 of Austintown who passed away Saturday morning in Briarfield Manor Care Center. Flora was born December 2. 1910 in Kremis, PA the daughter of John and Emma (Boger) Wheaton. She was a homemaker and a member of Western Reserve United Methodist Church. Her husband Lawrence H. Waites whom she married April 14, 1931, passed away in 1998. She leaves one daughter Evelyn Thomas of Austintown, one brother Stanley Wheaton of Ocala FL, Seven grandchildren; Jeffrey (Mary) Thomas of Youngstown, Cathy McGlone of Mansfield, Michael (Joanie) Thomas of Ellsworth, Darlene and Kimberly Waites both of Chandler AZ, David and Dale Waites both of Phoenix AZ, as well as four great grandchildren; William III, Matthew and Jonathan McGlone of Mansfield and Taylor Thomas of Ellsworth. Besides her husband, Flora is preceded in death by one son; Lawrence M. Waites, four sisters Maude Wagner, Cecilia Barber, Lavina Baker and Laura Spitler, and three brothers John, Paul, and James Wheaton. A grandson James Waites also preceded her in death. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Boardman, Ohio 44512.
