Frances Ann Galla

Private funeral services will be held for Frances Ann Schrock-Galla, 88, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 8. 2019 at her home with her loved ones at her bedside. Frances was born December 25, 1930 in Youngstown the daughter of Mark S. and Myrtle (Hildebrand) Woods. She was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Chaney High School, class of 1949. Frances was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Frances was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and the Saxon Club. Her hobbies included bowling, and playing bocci. Frances was also an avid reader. Most of all she loved the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her first husband Donald E. Schrock, whom she married August 30, 1952, passed away April 29, 1975. Frances married Edward Galla on August 28, 1979, and he passed away January 4, 2014. She leaves one daughter, Melissa McGuire of Spartansburg. PA., two sons, Larry (Debi) Schrock of Canfield and Don (Theresa) Schrock of McKinney, TX., five granddaughters, Corinn, Codie (Mike), Dawn Melissa (Nathan), Brittney (Buck),and Kelly, two grandsons, Jay (Carrie) and Jesse, as well as eight great grandchildren, Camden, Aria, Judd, June, Leo, Evan, Logan, and Carter. Besides her parents and husbands, Frances was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Nichols. Following Frances wishes there are no public calling hours and services are private. Arrangements were entrusted to the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
