Frank J. Mraz

AUSTINTOWN----Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown, for Mr. Frank Joseph Mraz, 73, of DeHoff Dr., who died Friday morning in St. Elizabeth Health Care Center. Mr. Mraz was born August 19, 1929 in Youngstown, the son of Mirko and Elizabeth (Vlasic) Mraz and was a lifelong area resident. Frank had been employed with the Continental Baking Co. 48 yrs. As a mechanic retiring in 1994. He was a board member of the Austintown Girls Softball League, the Eagles of Austintown and was a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War, receiving the Purple Heart. He was also a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Frank is survived by his wife, the former Joyce Waller, whom he married March 12, 1955, a daughter, Mariann E. Jackson of New Castle, PA and a son, Frank N. Mraz of Austintown, a sister, Caroline Citizen of Youngstown and three grandchildren, Kaylee and Alyssa Mraz and Zachary Jackson. A son, John Mraz and two brothers, Anthony and Steve Mraz preceded him in death. Friends may call from 10 AM until time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
