Fred G. Diegele

Fred G. Diegele, 75 Funeral services will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 25th at Lane Family Funeral Homes, 65 N. Broad Street, Canfield Chapel for Fred G. Diegele, 75 of Canfield, who died Sunday afternoon at his residence. Fred was born July 21, 1943 in Cleveland, a son of the late Frederick and Margaret (Wagner) Diegele and came to this area in 1971. He graduated from Brunswick High School and served in the United States Navy. Fred was a die maker for General Motors for 41 years, retiring in 2008. He was a member of the Youngstown Saxon Club and the Brookfield Sportsman Club. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Fred leaves his wife, the former Bonnie S. Smith, whom he married May 18, 1968; one son, Roger W. Diegele of Canfield; two grandchildren, Jeff and Brenden and two great-grandchildren, Dominic and Carmella. Besides his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a stillborn sister. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 6:00 p.m at the funeral home.
