He was then a Lab Analysis with Ohio Water Treatment, retiring in 2013. Gary loved to play softball and was co-manager of Diver City Steel for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing golf. He also enjoyed baking bread and making wedding soup. Gary was a jack-of-all-trades and a die-hard Cleveland sports fan. He loved animals, as evidenced by his volunteering at Angels for Animals. But most of all, Gary loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Gary is survived by his wife of 43 years, the former Christine M. Palazzo, whom he married Aug. 9, 1974; his children, Gary P. (Brooke) Febinger of Poland, Pamela L. (Vince) Angelilli of Poland and Matthew A. Febinger of Columbiana; his sisters, Millie (James) Phillips and Nancy (Don) Norris, both of Struthers; his grandchildren, Vincenzo, Christian, Santino, Angelo, Aubree, Brynn, Micah and Ezra and he was beloved by many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Peter Febinger. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. prior to the Service on Saturday at the funeral home.
