Gene R. ''Pap'' Pyles, Sr.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the Pricetown United Methodist Church for Gene R. Pyles, Sr. of 16400 Milton Ave. Lake Milton who died Thursday morning at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Gene was born July 26, 1940 in Newburg, WV. A son of Gerald and Barbara (Wilt) Pyles. He was a steel worker for WCI Steel for 34 years retiring 1991. He was a member of Pricetown United Methodist Church and Local #1375 United Steelworkers of America. He is survived by his wife Lois (Roessler) Pyles whom he married Jan. 24, 1976; children Randy Pyles, Jr., Christine Etto, Cynthia Williams all of Lake Milton, Cheri Miller of Salem, and Carrie Bridgeman of Austintown; two sisters Ethel Teets and Shirley May both of Austintown; Brothers Ronald of Paris, OH, Robert of North Jackson, James of Newburg, WV, Gerald of Lake Milton, and Earl Pyles of Newburg, WV; and six grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a son Donald “Beaver” Pyles, a sister Ruth Pyles, and a brother Paul Pyles. Friends may call 1-3 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
