Genevieve L. Davis

A memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday at Christ’s Church in Boardman for Genevieve L. (Hively) Davis of Canfield who passed away on Tuesday at Forum Northside Hospital. Genevieve was born December 28, 1921 in Canfield the daughter of George and Hazel (Cook) Hively. A member of Christ’s Church in Boardman, she was a Cafeteria worker at the Canfield Schools for 18 years and retired in 1976. She was also a member of the Agape Fellowship and a member of the Canfield High School Class of 1940. Genevieve leaves three children: James H. Davis of North Lima, Dorothy Lomker of Greenford, and Thomas E. Davis of Austintown. She also leaves five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband Howard whom she married December 30, 1941 in January of 2001. She was also preceded in death by three brothers : Arland, Merle, and Lee R. Hively Sr., as well as two sisters: Lela Mae Hively, and Geraldine Seevers her twin. Friends and family may call from 5-8 PM Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel as well as one hour prior to the services at the Church on Friday.
