CANFIELD - Funeral Services will be held Friday at 10:30 AM at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for George E. Hogan who died Tuesday morning at Northside hospital. George was born on July 2, 1936 in Connellsville, Pennsylvania the son of William B. and Isabelle Hogan. Mr. Hogan retired after serving as a laborer for Klempay house movers for several years, and is a Veteran of the United States Army. George was a member of the AMA Club of Youngstown, The Catholic War Veterans, and St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. Mr. Hogan is survived by his loving wife Virginia (Monskie) Hogan who he married in 1969 along with two children William B. Hogan II of Youngstown and Margie Ann Balmer of Melbourne, Florida. He also leaves four step children Fred Akers of Orlando, Florida; Cindy Chicase of Youngstown; Kathy Achey and Kim Price both of Austintown. He is also survived by two sisters Nellie Brainard of Girard and Margaret Worrick of Niagra Falls, NY and a brother Tom Hogan of Youngstown along with 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by two sisters Annabelle E. Collins and Emma Kontkowski and one brother William G. Hogan. Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel on Thursday from 4-8 PM.
