George M. "Bud" Jones

George M. "Bud" Jones, 72 Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for George M. Jones, 72 of Austintown who died early Sunday morning at Vibra Hospital. George, known as "Bud" was born October 1, 1946 in Youngstown, a son of the late George A. and Ellen (Manley) Jones and was a lifelong area resident. Bud graduated from Struthers High School and following graduation served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the St. Joseph Parish, Austintown. He was a journeyman electrician for IBEW Local #64, retiring in 2003. His wife, the former Linda Franceschelli whom he married June 7, 1969, died November 6, 2001. He leaves his son, Christopher (Jennifer) Jones of Columbiana; a daughter Shannon (Jacob) Keefe of Las Vegas; and a sister, Christine Stiver, of Struthers. Besides his wife and parents, Bud was preceded in death by a two sisters, Carole Jones and Mary Ellen Jones. Friends may call on Monday from 4:00 -6:00 p.m. at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
