George M. Byers

A Private Memorial Service will be held on Saturday for George M. Byers, 66, who passed away Sunday afternoon at Northside Medical Center. George was born Feb. 20, 1951 in Youngstown, a son of George A. and Gerda S. Theil Byers. He was an office manager for Solar Oil Co. George was a 1969 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. He was a member of the X-Series Bass Fishing Circuit and numerous other Bass fishing clubs. He enjoyed all forms of racing, from Nascar to Drag Racing. George is survived by his daughters, Paula M. (Todd) Rankin of Austintown and Lori A. Dragovich of Austintown; his son, Jeremy M. (Joy) Byers of North Jackson; his sister, Kathleen (Joseph) Esposito of Poland; his brothers, Dennis Byers of Austintown and James Byers of Youngstown; his grandchildren, Zackary, Alexandre, Evelyn, Diane, Jackson, Margaret and Kathleen and his former wife, Diane L. Whetson Byers. Memorial contributions in Georges name, may be given to the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley, 962 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. Yo., OH 44502.
