George R. Fowler

AUSTINTOWN-Funeral services will be held at 12PM Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for George R. Fowler age 83 who died early Wednesday morning in North Side Medical Center. Mr. Fowler was born Oct.6, 1919 in Youngstown the son of Wilton and Lottie (Rodgers) Fowler. George worked for the Operating Engineers Local 66 in Youngstown for 30 years, and had served as president of the Local 66 Retirees for over 15 years retiring 2001. He was a member of Austintown Community Church, and a WWII Army Veteran. George is survived by his wife of 56 years Evelyn (Neill) Fowler whom he married Jan. 26, 1946, One daughter Cheryl Sanor of Lordstown, two sons Jack (Lisa) Fowler of Kissimmee Fl., George (Linda) Fowler Jr. of Boca Raton Fl., two sisters Lois Hinkson of Crown Point IN., Vern Shoemaker of Austintown, One brother William Fowler of Trenton Fl., six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by two sisters Francis Stamolis and Jean Kotouch. Friends may call Friday evening from 4-8 PM at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
