Geraldine "Gig" A. DiCola, 86, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Saturday morning, June 27, 2015 at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland. Geraldine was born on September 30, 1928 in Farrell, PA, a daughter of Joseph and Ann (Campana) DiCola. She was a graduate of Vienna High School and lifelong resident of Mahoning and Shenango Valleys. A graduate of Vienna High School, Ms. DiCola was a retiree of Westinghouse Electric Corporation and an active member and supporter of St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church in Vienna, OH. Ms. DiCola enjoyed writing, reading, traveling, and the fine arts. Love of family was at the center of her life and she was a devoted Aunt to 13 nieces and nephews, 15 great-nieces and nephews, one great-great niece, and three great-great nephews. Ms. DiCola was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Thomas DiCola. She was survived by her beloved sister Mary Jane (DiCola) Finamore, her beloved brother in law, Rudolf Finamore, and a larger extended family. A private service will be held for Geraldine and entombment will take place at All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta, Township at a later date.
