Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Glenn Hunter of Austintown who died at Northside Medical Center on Tuesday morning. Mr. Hunter was born on September 2, 1922 in Youngstown the son of James and Minnie Vogelsang Hunter. He was the head unloader of Department 46 of General Fireproofing and retired in 1983 after 40 years. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. And a member of the Saxon Club for 30 years where he was a member of the Concordia Chorus for 20 years. Glenn was also a World War II veteran serving with the Army and was a 1940 graduate of Chaney High School. He is survived by his daughter Linda Ranklin of Austintown and grandchildren Jillian Hunter and Kerrianne Ranklin. He is preceded in death by his wife Shirley Shaffer who he married on May 1, 1949 and who died April 21, 1985. Friends are invited to gather with the family at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel on Thursday at 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
