Gloria Jean Martincic

McDonald - Gloria Jean Martincic, 77, passed away Sunday evening, May 19, 2019 at Grace Woods Memory Care Center in Niles. OH Gloria was born on February 2, 1942 in Youngstown, OH, a daughter of the late Peter and Bertha (Cossack) Yashnik. She was a 1960 graduate of Brookfield High School, a longtime resident of Brookfield, and worked on her parents farm, Yashniks Dairy Farm on Rt 7 in Brookfield for many years. After graduating high school, she married Albert Venosky and began their family together with two children, Gretchen and Jarrod Venosky. She was proud to grow up working on a farm and said her most memorable moments were being a farm girl where she loved to make hay. She was also passionate about gardening and loved flowers. She was an excellent baker and cook; and would add her artistic style to everything she made. Above all, she loved spending time with her children and grandson. Gloria will be deeply missed by her children, Gretchen Venosky and Jarrod (April) Venosky; her grandson, who was her pride and joy, Zachary John Stasko; and her sister Alice Morrison. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Steven Yashnik; and her sisters, Stella Mikita and Norma Reed. Family and friends may visit from 4-6:00PM on Friday May 24, 2019 at Lane Funeral Homes - Madasz Chapel at 6923 Warren-Sharon Rd in Brookfield, with services following at 6:00PM.
