Funeral services celebrating the life of Gloria F. Martin, 74, will be held 11 AM Friday, April 12, 2019 at Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel. Gloria passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 6, in the Cleveland Clinic. She was born August 30, 1944 in Clay County, West Virginia, the daughter of Leon and Ella (Koch) Parsons. Gloria was a graduate of North High School and had worked as a clerk with Stambaugh Thompson, in the office of Dr. John Conti, and was also the co-owner of Rumors Lounge, T-Mar Lounge and Angelas Pizza. Glorias hobbies included ceramics, gardening, and QVC. Most importantly, Gloria loved to spend time with her family, especially her "favorite girl", her great granddaughter Elizabeth. Her husband, Paul E. Martin, whom she married October 12, 1963, passed away in March of 2000. She leaves her son, Paul Martin, and his wife Lisa of Liberty Twp., two grandsons, Paul A. Martin and his wife Jane of Hudson, and Dr. Zachary Martin and his fianc Carly Cantelmi of Wadsworth, one great granddaughter, Elizabeth Martin, as well as three sisters, Charlotte (Allen) Schaechtel of Mabelvale, AR, Linda (Ron) Shields of Clancy, MT, and Phyllis (John) Gearhart of Fishers, IL. Besides her parents and husband Paul, Gloria is preceded in death by a brother, Roger Parsons, and a sister, Mary Kalvoda. Friends may call from 10 to 11 AM Friday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel where services will begin at 11 AM. The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to Dr. Denise Bobovnyik, Dr. Gustavo Heresi, Nancy Bair, Life Line Partners, and the staff of the Cleveland Clinic for their compassionate care.
