Grace J. Dimick

There will be Services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lane Family Funeral Homes-Austintown Chapel for Grace J. Dimick, 94, who passed away Sunday afternoon at her residence in Alliance. She was born June 3, 1923 in West Austintown, a daughter of Samuel R. and Edith Bishop Schrum. Grace was a 1941 graduate of North Jackson High School. She was a home-maker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She attended First Friends Church in Salem. Her husband of 40 years, Ira E. Dimick, whom she married Aug. 10, 1942, died Aug. 26, 1982. Grace is survived by her daughters, Darlene Held of Alliance, with whom she made her home, Delores Hubler of Toledo and Janet (Mark) Landwert of Humble, TX; her sisters, Eileen Taylor of Greenford and Doris Burkett of Canfield; 9 grandchildren and 19 gr. grandchildren. Besides her husband, Grace was preceded in death by her brothers, Samuel Schrum and Richard Schrum; her sisters, Charlotte Sisco, Imogene Yocum, Vera Orr, Geraldine Craig and Edith Kale and a nephew, John Orr. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday prior to the Service at the funeral home.
