Guy Daniel Wheat

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for G. Daniel Wheat, 73, of Berlin Center, who passed away Monday afternoon, December 17, 2018 at Hospice House. He was born Guy Daniel Wheat on February 12, 1945 in Hillsboro IL, the son of Robert and Beulah (Craig) Wheat. Dan, as most people knew him, worked as a press operator helper at Youngstown Steel Door until a back injury would not allow him to work anymore. He was proud of his family and perfect yard. Dan enjoyed fishing and was a proud member of the crime watch. He leaves his wife, the former Jeanne Coman, whom he married August 17, 1970, two children, Scott Wheat of Berlin Center, and Lisa (Scott) Carte of North Jackson. Dan also leaves seven sisters, Terry (Lou) Novich and Tracy Plush both of Mobridge, SD, Diane Beck, Marla Carter, Tina and Sandy all in IL, and Robyn (Ray) Cross of Warren, OH, as well as three brothers, Robert, Gary, and Richard Wheat all in IL. Besides his parents, Dan was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Heasley. A private celebration of Dans life will be held in the future. Arrangements were entrusted to Lane Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Valley in Dans name.
