Howland - Harold L. Miller, 86, passed away Sunday morning, January 14, 2018 at his home. Harold was born on January 16, 1931 in Coalburg, OH; a son of the late Samuel and Macie (Hunter) Miller. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served his country during the Korean War. He worked as a Carpenter from local Union #1438 in Warren, working for various construction companies including United Construction, ONeal Construction, and Muir Construction for 14 years from 1947-1962. After, he worked as maintenance supervisor for Lakeview Schools for 14 years until retiring in 1995. He was a member of Bazetta Christian Church, VFW post #1090, and Niles Moose. He also enjoyed building and tinkering. Harold will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Elizabeth "Betsy" Miller of Howland, whom he married on September 3, 1982; his children, Keith (Nancy) Miller of Fowler, Michelle (Ed) Schultz of Howland, and Amanda Miller and her partner Gretchen Gualandi of Masury; step-children, Cindi (Dave) Smith of Lake Tahoe and Diana (Mark) Devlin of Vienna; several nieces and nephews; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Melinda Dailey; four brothers and seven sisters. Memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 1:00PM at Bazetta Christian Church in Bazetta, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Bazetta Christain Church and Hospice MVI.
