Harry William "Bill" Winfield

Harry William "Bill" Winfield, 90, passed away on October 26, 2018 at his home with his family at his side. Bill was born on April 12, 1928 in Warren; the son of Alice Dillon and Edward Winfield. Bill was a graduate of Neal School in Fowler. He worked as a plumber. Bill owned and operated Winfield Plumbing and Heating until he retired. Bill married the former Gloria Diane Parry on September 21, 1952. They shared 66 years of marriage. Bill was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Warren, a member of the Cortland Masonic Lodge 529, and a member of the Trumbull County Shriners Al-Koran. He enjoyed traveling in his motorhome with his wife and friends. He enjoyed farming and raising cattle. He loved to have spaghetti dinners with the whole family together. He also loved planting a big garden and canning his harvest. He leaves his loving wife, Gloria. He also has 4 children: Ron (Elaine) Winfield, Rae (Debra) Winfield, Debbie (Pete) Kendrick and Bill Winfield. He as 8 grandchildren: Heather (Tim) Jewett, Brent (Lena) Winfield, Meghan (Jerrid) Palumbo, Rachele (Randy) Keller, Ryan (RickiLea) Winfield, Collins (Karen) Brown, Chase (Brooke) Brown and McKenzie (Adam) Kaufman. Bill has 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Robert, Edward and Martina. Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday October 29, 2018 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Lane Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel, Cortland. A Masonic Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. with a funeral service to immediately follow with Pastor Ralph Barney officiating. Burial will take place at Dugan Cemetery in Fowler. The family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice for their assistance in taking care of Bill.
