Harvey Taylor Underhill

AUSTINTOWN- Services will be held 11:30 AM Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Harvey Taylor Underhill of 1770 Price Road in Youngstown who died at his residence Sunday evening. Mr. Underhill was born October 5, 1922 in Elyria the son of Harvey and Dorothy A. (Adams) Underhill. Harvey was an Army Veteran having served in the 42nd Rainbow Division. He was employed at US Steel 30 years retiring in 1977 as General Turn Foreman. He was a member of the Faith Community United Church of Christ, formerly Pilgrim Collegiate, the Argus Lodge, the Yusef Khan Grotto and the Scottish Rite. Mr. Underhill is survived by his wife Helen (Weber) Underhill whom he married December 31, 1949 and one son Ted (Loretta) Underhill of N. Jackson , a grand-daughter, Julie (Joe) Weaver of Canton, 3 grandsons, Adam and Zac Underhill and Justin Kirtos. A daughter Nancy Kirtos and sister Eleanor Young preceded him in death. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday and one hour before services Thursday at the funeral home. Material contributions may take the form of donations to the church or Hospice of the Valley.
