Heather MacNaughton, 79 There will be a funeral service 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 19th, at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Anstrom Chapel, 8387 Tod Ave., Boardman, celebrating the life of Heather MacNaughton, 79 of Leetonia who died early Saturday morning. Heather was born January 21, 1940 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Ian and Margaret (Lindsey) MacCallum and was a lifelong area resident. Heather graduated from Boardman High School in 1958 and had owned and operated British Pastries in Leetonia for 15 years, retiring in 2010. Heather started playing the bag pipes at the age of 8. She played in the Heather Highlanders Pipe Band which was started by her father. Heather took over the band after the death of her father, renaming it the MacCallum Highlanders Pipe Band. She organized many of the Robbie Burns banquets and also catered them for several years. She also offered her British pastries at Scottish festivals. Heather had operated the Scottish International Booth at the Canfield Fair for many years. She leaves her children, Jennifer (David) Frye of Leetonia, Amy (Chris McDaniel) Norris of Lakewood, Derek (Stacey) Norris of Poland, and Jason (Kellie) Norris of Garrettsville. Heather also leaves 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sheila Lamon. Friends may call on Thursdayfrom 5-8 p.m. at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Anstrom Chapel.
