Helen LaBuda, 95 of Warren, died Saturday morning, May 4, 2019, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital She was born April 17, 1924 in Cleveland the daughter of the late John A. and Agnes Gordon Popielec. Helen retired from Master's Dry Cleaners on McMyler N.W., where she worked for over 20 years. Helen was a member of the Kingdom Hall Tod Heights Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Warren. She loved reading the Bible and talking about and sharing the Bible with people. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She is survived by one son, Jeffrey J. (Linda) LaBuda with whom she had made her home in Warren, and many nieces and nephews. Her husband of nearly 64 years, Henry K. LaBuda, whom she married November 23, 1942 preceded her in death April 9, 2006. Three sisters, Mary Spirko, Sophie Eliadis and Jessie Laurix and one brother, Jerry Popielec have also preceded in death. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2019 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Tod Heights Congregation, 3555 Tod Avenue N.W. in Warren, 44485, where the family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the 5 p.m. service time on Sunday. Burial will be at a later date at Pine Knoll Cemetery in Warren Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kingdom Hall, Tod Heights Congregation.
