Helen M. Morgan

Services will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Helen M. Morgan of 3245 Vestal Road Youngstown, OH formerly of Kimberly Ave. Austintown who died at North Side Medical Center on Monday. Helen was born on October 8, 1906 in Dover, OH the daughter of Charles and Anna Hammer West. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Austintown Community Church of Christ where she was a member of Mary Martha Circle and a quilter. She organized one of the first Sr. Citizen groups from the church and organized many bus trips through the church. She was also a member of Y.O.M.A. Lodge and Mahoning County Extension. She was a graduate of South High School. Helen is survived by her children Robert (Monteen) Morgan of Youngstown, Edward (Donna) Morgan of Columbus, grandchildren Larry Morgan of Strongsville, Debbie Evans Bengala of Greenville NC., James Evans of Boardman, Tim Evans of Fairfax VA., Edward Morgan III of Columbus, and Linda Morgan of FL., Barb Morgan Etchells of Chandler AZ., Judy Valsi Cunningham of Cortland and nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear friend Marge Domblisky of Youngstown. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward W. Morgan who she married on November 5, 1924 and who died on June 15, 1960, her half sister Mary Ellen Fenstermacher, a brother Robert West. and a grandson Jon Morgan. Friends are invited to gather with the family from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel. Memorial tributes can be made to the church memorial fund.
