Helen M Zimmerman

Helen M. Zimmerman, age 91, of Conneautville, PA, died on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the Rolling Fields Elder Care Center in Conneautville, PA. She was born on April 24, 1920 in Farrell, PA, the daughter of the late Andrew Zink and the late Elizabeth Artz Zink. Helen worked as a manager for the King Korn Stamp Redemption Center for 15 years, retiring in 1975. She also had worked at the Sears Roebuck Dept. Store in Sharon. She was a member of the St. Robert Catholic Church in Cortland and was a former member of Our Lady of Fatima in Farrell, PA. Helen loved baking, cooking and sewing. She was devoted to both her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Her husband, William C. Zimmerman, whom she married on September 17, 1939, preceded her in death on November 25, 1979. She is survived by a son, William C. (Judith) Zimmerman Jr. of Canton, OH, daughter, Patricia (Richard) Klein of Erie, PA and a brother, Albert Zink of Tucson, AZ. Also surviving are 4 grandsons, Shawn (Elizabeth) Zimmerman, Bill (Susan) Zimmerman, Andrew Klein and Justin (Heather) Klein as well as 5 great grandchildren, Alexandria, Samantha and Henry Zimmerman, Haley Balkovic and Ava Klein. She was preceded in death by a son Richard Zimmerman. A memorial mass will be held at the St. Robert Catholic Church, 4659 Niles Cortland Rd (St. Rt. 46), Cortland, Ohio 44410 on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 11am. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church. A private burial will be at the Holy Trinity Cemetery in Farrell, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel in Cortland.
