Helen Powell

Helen Powell 89 Canfield- Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday for Helen Powell of 3612 Hopkins Rd. who died Saturday evening at Carrington South health care center. Helen was born on December 14, 1912 in Greenford, Ohio the son of Harvey and Blanche (Cochel ) Knauf. She was a graduate of Kent State University and went on to become a teacher at Greenford Schools where she worked for 15 years. Mrs. Powell is preceded in death by her husband Wallace Powell who she married June 26, 1943, Mr. Powell died in 1987. She is survived by 2 sons Thomas Powell of Ellsworth and and Richard Powell of Pittsburgh, PA. She also leaves a sister Esther Marriott of Canfield and 4 grandchildren Jennifer, David, Claire and Jack Powell. Helen is also preceded in death by 2 sisters Gertrude Schrom and Mary Spiker along with 3 brothers Floyd, Jeffery and Walter Knauf.
