Helen Tallo

Helen Tallo, age 98, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Helen was born February 28, 1919 in Somerset, Pa. She was the youngest daughter of the late John & Annie Lopuchovsky. She was also preceded in death by 6 siblings. Helen married Edward Tallo on December 16, 1939 and was happily married for 72 years, until he preceded her in death on June 28, 2010. Helen is survived by daughter, Diane Tallo and her husband Spencer Youell; and many nieces and nephews. During WWII she and many other women replaced their husbands at work in a U.S. Steel Mill. She led a crusade for equal pay for women because the women had higher productivity than their male counterparts. She was a fan of The Ohio State University football team. She cared deeply and willingly gave support for family, friends and neighbors. She spent her later years at The Sanctuary at Tuttle Crossing, where she was very appreciative of the care she received. It was there that she found a love for playing bingo and especially winning at bingo. Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 2-4pm at Lane Funeral Homes, Madasz Chapel, 6923 Warren-Sharon Road, Brookfield, Ohio 44403; where funeral services will be the following day, Monday, January 22, 2018 at 11am.
