Herbert J. Way

Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Herbert J. Way Jr. of Greenville, PA and formerly of Canfield, OH. Mr. Way passed away on Tuesday at St. Paul’s Nursing Home in Greenville. Mr. Way was born February 11, 1914 in Pitcairn, PA the son of Herbert J. and Lona Belle (Brower) Way Sr. A WWII Navy veteran serving on Withi Island in the South Pacific , Mr. Way retired as a construction supervisor at Poling and Bacon. He was a member of the Struthers Baptist Church and the Argus Lodge of Masons in Canfield. He was also a 58 year member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners. Mr. Way leaves three children: Herbert E Way of Lutz, FL., Carole Krake of Canal Fulton, OH., and Barbara Quinn of Youngstown. He also leaves a brother Clifford Way of Poland and nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Herbert was predeceased by his wife Edythe (Longmore) Way whom he married July 11, 1934 and passed away on February 14, 1996. A daughter Dorothy Trotter and two brothers, and a sister are also deceased. Friends may call from 4-7 on Thursday as well as, one hour prior to the services on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
