Howard C. Lamb Sr., 93, of Niles, passed away Friday February 22, 2019 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Howard was born October 4, 1925 in Lancaster, Kentucky, the son of the late David and Laura (Murphy) Lamb. Howard was a pastor for the Church of God for over 30 years. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 106, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4192, and the Disabled American Veterans. Prior to retirement he worked for Trumbull County Jobs and Family Services in Maintenance for 14 years. During his years of retirement, Howard loved to go fishing, work on cars, and read, especially the Bible. Howard was also an avid Cleveland Indians fan. He is survived by his wife Mary (Coiner) Lamb, whom he married September 4, 1977; his children Linda (Chester) Goins of Indiana, Julie Hopkins of Kentucky, Christine (Keith) Fisher of Niles, Howard (Shelly) Lamb Jr. of Niles; his brother Raymond (Opal) Lamb of Kentucky; his son-in-law Robert Wolfe of North Carolina; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughters Debra Lamb and Mary Wolfe, and eight brothers and sisters. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 6:00 PM at Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Howard will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
