AUSTINTOWN---Private services will be held Saturday, June 22 at Green Haven Cemetery for Hugh I. Noble, 81, of 5651 Baylor Ave. who died Tuesday morning June 18, of complications in Forum Northside. Mr. Noble was born April 6, 1921 in Mecca, OH the son of Hugh and Mary (Parker) Noble and was a lifelong area resident. He had been employed as a craneman for U.S. Steel 40 years retiring in 1974. He was an Army veteran of WWII serving in the European Theatre, receiving four Bronze stars. His wife, the former Eunice Woods, who he married August 3, 1946 died on February 23, 1981. Hugh is survived by a daughter; Carol M. Noble, with whom he made his home, a son, Gilbert H. Noble of Shoreline Washington, brother, Elton Noble of Lionsville, OH and two step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Candy and several brothers and sisters.
