Ina Marlene Wingard, 86 of Niles, died Tuesday morning, January 15, 2019, at her home. She was born September 15, 1932 in Derry, Pa. the daughter of the late Samuel and Ina C. Reed Leary. She and her husband, Ted, moved to Warren in 1960 from Latrobe, Pennsylvania. In their later years, they moved to Niles. Marlene was a 1950 graduate of Derry Township High School. She worked in the 1970's for England Optical as a secretary. Marlene was a member for many years of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Warren and the church Altar and Rosary Society. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Assoc. and the American Business Women's Assoc. Marlene was an avid reader and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Her greatest joy was spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy J. Wingard of McDonald and Elaine M. (Keith) Kroehle of Warren; one son, Dr. Donald P. (Zoraida) Wingard of Las Vegas and four grandchildren, Christopher Wingard of Columbus, Allison Napolitan of McDonald, Eric Harper of Pittsburgh and Samuel Kroehle of Warren. Her husband of 48 years, Ted R. Wingard, whom she married January 8, 1955 preceded her in death in 2003. There will be no calling hours and private services will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 70 W.
