Imogene I. Shobel

YOUNGSTOWN---Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Imogene I. Shobel, 74 formerly of Lake Ave., who passed away Saturday , in Forum Northside Health Care Center. Jean was born July 11, 1928 in Youngstown the daughter of Donald L. and Florence A. Davis Minck and was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of the Ohio-Penn Travelers Club and a 1947 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. Her husband, John A. Shobel whom she married Jan. 24, 1948 passed away Sept. 8, 1991. She is survived by two daughters, Jean Neff and Corrine Weaver both of Austintown, four sons, Richard and Donald Shobel of Austintown, Thomas Shobel of McDonald and Tod Shobel of Struthers, a step-daughter, Eleanor Cheeks of Mineral Ridge and step-son, John A. Shobel Jr. of Cortland, one sister, Betty Dickerhoof of Minerva, OH and a brother, Lou Minck of Liberty, MO., 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday and one hour before services Wednesday at the funeral home.
