Irene Elizabeth Kovach

Irene Elizabeth Kovach Services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, August 13, 2001 at the Greenhaven Cemetery Chapel for Irene Elizabeth Kovach of 3802 Ayrshire Dr. in Youngstown who died Friday evening at Glenview Manor Nursing Home from a long-term illness. Irene was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Bartfai-Kovach and was born in Indianola, PA. but had lived in the Youngstown area since 1928. Employed as a service observer and operator for the Ohio Bell Telephone Co., she worked 34 years and retired in 1979. She was a member of the St. Columba Cathedral Church in Youngstown, a member of the Pat Buckley Moss Society, the Telephoine Pioneers of America, and was an avid photographer and picture painter. Irene is survived by two brothers; Louis and James Kovach of Youngstown. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother John.
