Irene Tillery

Irene Elizabeth Tillery, 92, was born November 29, 1924 in Youngstown to George and Julia Cantor. She lived her entire life in the Youngstown area, mainly in McDonald. She worked for over 35 years at the International Paper Company. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband Ken Tillery, Sr. She is survived by her sons Ken Tillery, Jr. (Debbie) of Gahanna, OH; Tim Tillery (Barbara) of Laurel, MS; grandchildren, Jessica Tillery of Cincinnati, Kevin Tillery of Gahanna and Laura Brady of New York City. She also leaves behind her beloved church family at Galilee Apostolic Church, especially Pastor Gary McCartney and his wife Janet. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Galilee Apostolic Church. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations to the Galilee Apostolic Church at 3939 Potomac Ave. in Austintown.
