Irma Bass

Funeral services will be at Four Mile Run Christian Church on Wednesday August 21, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. for Irma Bass of 4210 Patricia Ave., Austintown who died Sunday morning. Mrs. Bass was born September 25, 1908 in New Philadelphia Ohio, a daughter of the late George and Wilmina Snellenberger Brown. She worked in dietary and housekeeping at St Elizabeth Hospital for 7 years; also as a custodian at Davis Elementary School. She was a member for 50 years of Four Mile Run Christian Church and served as a choir member. She was an avid baker and enjoyed cooking. She is survived by 3 sons Daniel E Bass of Struthers; Kane W. Bass of Austintown; Larry M Bass of Hubbard; 4 daughters, Clela Elliott of McDonald; Lois Clarke of Girard; Diane Heckrow of Niles and Linda Alexander of Austintown. Also she leaves 48 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank C. Bass, whom she married May 16, 1926 and who passed away on July 14, 1961; 4 sons, Frank M.; James E.; Ray A.; Lee A.; one daughter Karen R. Martin; 4 sisters; Rhoda Stewart; Ella Whistler; Marie Connell; and Mrytle Crawford. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel and also 1 hour before the service at the church.
