James A. Tomblin,79 Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown Chapel for James A. Tomblin, 79 of Berlin Center who died early Wednesday morning at Blossom Nursing Home, Salem. James was born April 9, 1939 in Logan, West Virginia, a son of the late Leonard and Adie (Williamson) Tomblin , coming to Ohio in 1966 and to this area in 2003. James had worked as a laborer for Aeril Aluminum for many years before retiring. He enjoyed listening to blue grass music, picking the banjo and playing the guitar. His wife, the former Wilma Tackett, whom he married August 5, 1975, died in 2001. He leaves his daughter, Danielle Hobbs and two grandchildren of Lorain; a sister, Thelma Smith of Cincinnati; a brother, Leo Tomblin of Berlin Center and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and his wife, James was preceded in death by five brothers, Sherman Tomblin, Fred E. Tomblin, Billy T. Tomblin, Walker Elliot, Earl Elliot and one sister, Bertha "Frankie" Vickers. Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lane Funeral Home.
