James E. Griffiths

Mr. James E Griffiths, 92, of Youngstown, died early Sunday morning April 14th at the Omni Manor Assisted Living Center.

He was born March 1, 1932 in Youngstown, a son of Thomas and Dorothy (Sherham) Griffiths.

Jim attended Youngstown South High School and worked in sales for the Continental Baking Company for many years, retiring in 1993.

He married the former Barbara J. Brown on June 19, 1954.  They shared 69 years of marriage and many happy memories together.  She survives him.

Besides his wife, Jim is survived by two daughters; Debra J. Clouser and Linda B. Davis, both of Austintown.  He also leaves behind a grandson, Adam J. Hough, of Austintown.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Charles and Thomas Griffiths.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, April 18th at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown. 

Friends may call one hour prior to services from 10 - 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home. 

He will be laid to rest in the Tod Homestead Cemetery in Youngstown.

In lieu of flowers Jim's family requests contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice, in his memory.
