There will be a funeral service 11 AM Monday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for James M. "Fetus" Brocious who passed away Thursday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Jim was born June 6, 1935 in New Bethlehem, PA a son of the late Charles and Elva (Minnick) Brocious. He was an electrician for IBEW Local 64 from 1961 until his retirement in July 1997. Jim, affectionately known as "Festus", liked to spend as much time as possible at the Allegheny River with his family and friends. Although he couldnt swim, he still enjoyed boating and skiing. He was an avid reader and a jack of all trades, known for teasing everyone. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling and going to Mountaineer. He is survived by his wife the former Helen S. Green, whom he married March 24, 1961; three children: Kevin (Rhonda) Brocious of Austintown, Michele (Pete) Cervone of Ft. Myers, FL, and Jennifer Brocious of Austintown; one sister: Norma Shaffer of FL; two brothers: Bill (Janet) Brocious of Denver, CO, and Jack (Alice) Brocious of Hubbard; six grandchildren: Harley Brocious of Arkansas, Gennaro, Brianna, and Anthony Brocious all of Austintown, and Nicolette and Santino Cervone of Florida; and a great granddaughter Mika Maria of Arkansas. Besides his parents, Jim is preceded in death by a son Jack "Don" Brocious, two sisters: Millie Huffman and Dorothy Long, and one brother Wilmer Brocious. Friends may call from 4 PM until 7 PM Sunday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
