James J. Mesaros, 71, of Austintown, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at his home. He was born May 3, 1941, in Youngstown, the son of John and Julia Mesaros. James served our Country, until his retirement in 2001. He began his service with the Navy, eventually transferring to and retiring from the Army. He was an active member of St. Michael's Church, the American Legion Post 301, VFW 313. James served as the chaplain, for Post 301 and coordinated the Boy's State Program, for the surrounding counties. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed spending time with his horse, his dog and especially his family. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Barbara, whom he married October 8, 1966, two sons; George (Lisa) Mesaros, of Youngstown and Matthew (Felicia) Mesaros, of Austintown, four grandchildren; Derian, Kaitlynn, Jacob and Krista, and a sister Pauline Kenney. He was preceded in death by his parents and extended family. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 29, 2012, at 10:00AM, at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel. Friends will be received from 5:00PM-7:00PM, Friday, September 28, 2012, at the Austintown Chapel, and again Saturday from 9:00AM until the time of services. Interment will be at Green Haven Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Legion Post 301.
