James V. Albert

CANFIELD---Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday at the Lane Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel, for James V. Albert, 90, formerly of Palmyra Rd. who died Thursday morning in Beeghly Oaks Care Center. James was born October 14, 1911 in Youngstown, the son of Gaza and Caroline (Jones) Albert and was a lifelong area resident. He had worked in the coalmines and was a self employed builder, belonging to Carpenters Local #171. He is survived by his wife, the former Juanita M. Taras, whom he married on May 27, 1940, a daughter, Juanita Way of Lutz, FL and a son, James V. Albert Jr. of Clearwater, FL., five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and fours sister and one brother. Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM Sunday and one hour before services Monday at the funeral home. The family requests that material contributions take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
