Janet L. Mau

AUSTINTOWN: Janet L. Mau, age 67 of Austintown died Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Hospice House. Born December 7, 1944 in Janesville, WI; she was the daughter of George and Beverly (Rice) Gilman. Janet was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She served as the Executive Director at Mahoning Valley Epilepsy; a former treasurer and board member of the Fish Samaritan House; she was the first volunteer of Hospice of the Valley and became director of the volunteers; she was also a member of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America; she was an avid gardener and enjoyed cake decorating. Survivors include her husband Richard whom she married on July 16, 1966; daughters: Krista (John) Smith of North Lima and Kaari Wentz of Boardman; grandchildren: Tristan, Megan, Brandon, Ivan, and Adriane; brother Roger (Jackie Malonson) Gilman of Kissimee, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial Service will be held at the Zion Lutheran Church on Monday September 10, 2012 at 6 pm, preceded by calling hours from 5 pm until 6 pm.
